Why is it called Take Five?
There are many traditions that encourage taking five minutes each morning to meditate, write, dance, pray or do whatever resonates with you in order to connect with the higher self. This enables the higher self to be in charge of the details for the rest of your day, and Take Five provides that space for you. Also, Ali is praying for more discipline and routine in her own life, so Take Five is part of her personal crusade of consistent commitments. We think five seconds, five minutes, five hours or five years of anything aligned with your highest self is spectacular.
What is the purpose of Take Five?
The purpose of Take Five is to provide a simple pathway to clarity through words, ideas, connection and practice. Enjoy the themes and when applicable, the affirmations, quotes and questions. You will be astounded by the power of simple reflection. If you choose to Take Five and write, these questions can be considered over time or answered in a journal as a daily writing exercise.
